Okay, confession time. I absolutely hate having to introduce myself, especially in a group setting. Every new school year or semester when the teacher would stand at the front of the class and delightedly declare that they had a “get to know me” activity prepared, I would sink into my seat and pray to evaporate right there on the spot.
Hello, my name is Lauren and I am an introvert. Not just any kind of introvert, the kind that gets anxiety at the mere thought of having to stand in front of a group of my peers and talk about myself.
Introducing myself online is not much better. Believe me, this is about my twentieth rewrite of this post and while I’m not wholly satisfied with the outcome, it’s marginally less cringe-worthy than its nineteen predecessors.
But I have determined at this point on the blogging journey all you really need to know about me is this…
- My name is Lauren and I’m a born and raised southern girl from Georgia.
- I am a bookworm, artist, traveler, dog mom, and amateur writer.
- I love anything and everything about studying psychology and personality.
- And for old time’s sake…my favorite color is blue.
I figure the rest will reveal itself in due time.
